MISSION STATEMENT

The Middle Bass Island Yacht Club was founded to encourage, promote, and support safe boating and related sport activities to include the spirit of fellowship among its members, their families and fellow yachtsmen.  All members vow to maintain a commitment to continued growth and prosperity of the Middle Bass Island Yacht Club both now and in the future.

Our Club and all members shall continue its "good neighbor" policy and maintain dignity consistent with our club's philosophy.  We vow to provide social events to promote community among its members, families and guests.

Our Club promises to maintain, enhance and improve the facility for the enjoyment of its members, families and guests. We vow to preserve and protect the natural habitat of the area for all that visit our facility.  We also pledge to collaborate with the State of Ohio (ODNR) to ensure all future designs and development plans with respect to the docks, clubhouse and grounds are consistent with the State of Ohio's master plan for Middle Bass Island.

In the spirit of cooperation with our fellow yachtsman and the boating industry, our club maintains membership and participation in the Inter-Lake Yachting Association (I-LYA), Yachting Club of America (YCA), Greater Cleveland Boating Association (GCBA) and Michigan Boating Industry Association (MBIA).  We further agree to maintain the ideals set forth by these groups to encourage, promote and support education, seamanship and small boat handling among its members and the junior yachtsmen of the sport of boating.
